Compulsory Season Underway

Our team girls are well into the compulsory season, a fine time to resurrect our blogging skills.

Diablo's level four girls shone at Redwood High School in September by winning the team title at the Tumble in the Jungle competition. In the middle age group, Kailey McKnight and Ariane Skeggs placed first and second in the all around competition; Kailey also won vault with a score of 9.425, while Ariane won bars (8.925) and beam (9.375). Diablo swept the top four all-around spots in the older age division! Lauren Worley won the meet with a score of 37.00 all around, also taking the bars (9.35) and the floor (9.375) titles. Sierra Dewey won vault (9.375) and beam (9.45) on her way to a second place score of 36.975, heartbreakingly close to tying her team mate in the all around competition. Rebecca Yen (36.125) and Sara Thomas (36.05) completed the top four sweep for Diablo.

The level five girls placed second as a team in the same competition, and Diablo's level sixes placed fifth. Congratulations to all of our hard-working athletes!

This weekend our teams are heading out to compete at the Red Line 500 hosted by Bay Aerials. Good luck to all of our girls!!
